This is my imagination conjuring a scene. It's based on reality. This is near Anacortes, Washington where they unload oil from Alaska. My poem at the bottom reads: "I catch fire while dreaming. /Sparks fly. /Then only poetry remains. /Stirred, I travel even as the price of gas rises." Yes, I'm a fan of poetry. With this I'm trying to say that romance keeps us going, so it's a fuel too (and you can have fun anywhere).
Perry studied and received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from Washington State University, and has made a living with his art since 1965. His work is included in numerous collections and he holds many awards. Puget Sound raised, he lives on Whidbey Island fifty miles north of Seattle, Washington. Painting what surrounds him, he says, "I feel each piece of my art is like a word (or sentence), and when all is said and done I would hope people would say I had something interesting to say."

I really like the mood on this one. A feeling similar to my own ' Coming Home' work.
